“Karachi to me is a city of lights and the city of sea. It is a city which is an ocean of people from all walks of life, from different backgrounds and it's a city which has been my home for the past 37 years.
Karachi with all of its hustle and bustle has been a place of growth for me. And growth only happens when you go through challenges in life so for a while Karachi was a place of pain for me. It is that very pain that has transmuted and alchemised me.
Rumi says “wound is where the light enters”. Karachi for me has been that wound that let so much light enter into my life, into my heart. It has given me some of the best people who have held me through the toughest times of my life.
It has been the city where I have seen my dreams come true. This is a city that made me into myself. This is the city where I was lost just to be found. It’s that city which is full of hope and light for anyone who comes and dreams.”
